Donation Policy
Donation Policy
Please read these terms before donating to Nasir-Ul-Ummat Educational Trust.
1. Donations from within India only
The trust accepts donations only from individuals and institutions within India, in Indian Rupees, from Indian bank accounts. Foreign contributions — including transfers from foreign bank accounts, NRE/NRO accounts, foreign remittance services, or international payment platforms — cannot be accepted, as acceptance of foreign contributions requires registration under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA). Please do not send such transfers unless the trust confirms legal eligibility in writing.
2. Verify before transferring
Always verify the bank account details directly with the trust at +91 98115 79677 before making a transfer. The trust is not responsible for payments sent to incorrect account details.
3. Donation confirmation and receipts
After donating, share your name, donation amount, date of transfer, and transaction ID or payment screenshot with the trust on WhatsApp. Receipts are issued only after the donation is confirmed and proper donor details are shared. Donations without donor details may be treated as anonymous, which has tax implications for the trust under Indian law.
4. Tax benefit (Section 80G)
Do not assume any income-tax benefit for your donation unless the trust specifically confirms its 80G status in writing. Where applicable, donors claiming Section 80G benefit require the appropriate donation certificate from the trust.
5. Zakat, Sadaqah, and general donations
If you wish to mark your contribution as Zakat, Sadaqah, or a general donation, please mention it when sharing your confirmation. The trust will record the donor’s stated intent and use funds for eligible educational and welfare purposes.
6. Use of donations
Donations are used for the trust’s educational and welfare activities, including student support, books and learning materials, assistance to needy families, and development of trust facilities.
7. Mistaken transfers
If you believe you have made a transfer in error, contact the trust immediately at +91 98115 79677.
